Come together with European policy makers and industry to find out how IoT and the automated driving world connect.
AUTOPILOT has brought a piece of future to Connected and Automated mobility. The European Large Scale Pilot has played a key role in the digital transformation of autonomous driving by increasing driving environment perception using IoT.
The event will be a great opportunity to learn more about AUTOPILOT results, their impact on technology solutions and new business models.
You will have the opportunity to experience live demonstrations and interact with experts during several AMA (Ask Me Anything) sessions; to visit our exhibition and discover more about the IoT platforms, sensors and mobility services developed and deployed in Finland, France, Italy, Netherlands, Spain and Korea.
Ask Me Anything sessions
You are surely aware of AMA sessions in various contexts and domains. For AUTOPILOT’s final event, we will adapt the concept to an ‘ask-me-anything’ / ‘ask-the-expert’ session.
The experts will briefly introduce themselves, their area(s) of expertise, then highlight aspects of the session topic; after which the audience is invited to ask questions and interact with the experts and other attendees.
There are four topics listed, which will be repeated two to three times (depending on audience/interest) between 14:00 and 17:00 at mobiLAB. Half-hour slots have been allocated for each topic and two topics will run concurrently per slot.

Exhibition
At mobiLAB, between 14:00 and 17:00, the audience will be able to visit the different pilot sites booths (Finland, France, Italy, Netherlands, Spain and Korea), including some static demonstrations, posters, videos, etc., to learn more about the IoT platforms, sensors and mobility services developed and deployed in the project, the results and lessons learnt from implementation.
Demonstrations
Various dynamic and static demonstrations will take place on the test tracks next to mobiLAB between 14:00 and 17:00. The whole programme of demonstrations will be repeated twice and during the two slots, all demonstrations will run the one after the other. As participants see the demonstrations from the visitor’s tent next to the tracks, they will receive audio and video commentary and explanation of what is going on inside and outside the vehicles.
Demonstrated use cases
- Automated Valet Parking with drop off and pick up manoeuvres
- Platooning between car sharing stations, including parking manoeuvres to set up the platoon
- Rerouting based on Vulnerable Road User anticipation
- Speed adaptation based on Vulnerable Road User and potholes detection through IoT
- Traffic light control based on Vulnerable Road User detection
- Platoon formation demonstrated using in-vehicle displays of the functionality for recorded piloting runs
- Automated Valet Parking using drone
