NEWS FROM AUTOPILOT

As every year in September, the European Mobility Week will see initiatives carried out across Europe to showcase sustainable mobility alternatives to local residents and to explain the challenges that cities and towns are facing in order to induce behavioural change and make progress towards creating a more sustainable transport strategy for Europe. This year, AUTOPILOT partners VGP and VEDECOM will be actively taking part in European Mobility Week by organising activities open to the public.

  • Date: 16th – 22nd September, 2017
  • Place: Versailles, France (the AUTOPILOT event), other events elsewhere in Europe
  • Theme: Clean, shared and intelligent mobility
  • More information: http://www.mobilityweek.eu/

AUTOPILOT project partner VGP (Versailles Grand Parc) will organise an event and also present the AUTOPILOT project. Two dedicated AUTOPILOT posters have been prepared for the event (available here and here).

VEDECOM will participate in the VGP event and host an interactive game on autonomous driving, providing plenty of fun for anyone who comes to the event. Called “Test Your Knowledge on Autonomous Vehicles”, the game is an interactive quiz, which can be played by several participants at the same time, including groups of visitors and families stopping by the VEDECOM stand. The quiz follows a gradual structure, whereby the questions get increasingly more difficult the further into the game you get. Possible questions are, for example, “what are the three main challenges of autonomous vehicles” and “do you know the meaning of ADAS”. The participants can see their progression and the progression of other participants on a screen in front of them which makes the game more challenging and fun. VEDECOM’s objective with this game is to raise awareness and teach participants more about autonomous driving.
